U-Boat Worx combines nautical craftsmanship with the entertainment sector. The submarine company announced its creation submerged, the UWEP, which stands for Under Water Entertainment Platform. The company offers two models, the UWEP 2700 and the larger UWEP 3500.

The 3500 weighs 1,050 tons and can accommodate 120 guests plus a full crew and catering staff on board. Plus, it has over 1,600 square feet of configurable space that can be tailored to an operator’s needs.

The 2700 weighs 810 tons and can carry 80 passengers plus crew and staff. Both models can descend to a depth of 650 feet and have a battery life of up to 18 hours. In an emergency, life support systems can last for 96 hours.

UWEP is an electric vehicle with a total output of 1,200 kWh. It uses large capacity lead-acid batteries with an optimal charge cycle of six to eight hours. Its propulsion is 4 x 80 kW horizontal and 4 x 40 kW vertical, which allows the vessel to travel 3 knots on the surface and 2.5 knots underwater.

The dimensions of UWEP are 115 feet long, 25 feet wide, and 23 feet high. It is also surrounded by 14 windows with a diameter of 14.8 feet. Setup options include a restaurant, casino, product showcase, and wedding venue. It also has an outdoor terrace of about 85㎡ of space.

U-Boat Worx did not provide any cost for either model.
